The Dutch Task Force on Sustainable Palm Oil was launched in November 2010 with the objective to make all the palm oil destined for the Dutch market sustainable by the end of 2015.
The Dutch Task Force published in March 2012 its first annual evaluation report. The margarine industry stands out with 35% of palm oil and palm kernel oil used in the Netherlands being sustainable in 2011, making it the second best performing sector. Of the sustainable palm oil purchased, 29% consisted of segregated, 10% of mass balance and 61% of certificates.
